Anthony S. Faucidiary entry
Marty Hirsch and David Hooper from Mass General did a very nice thing and Thanked me via Journal of Infectious Diseases and put my photo on the cover: I had an enjoyable “fireside chat” at the White House Jackson St facility in which I had lunch with the White House Fellows. I enjoy this very much and have done this several times over the past few years. They are an outstanding group of about a dozen individuals from various walks of life many of which have served in the military including in the special forces; practicing physicians; lawyers, among others. I enjoy speaking with them because they are the cream of the crop and give me hope for our nation particularly in the context of the incredible divisiveness and disregard for the truth and integrity that we are seeing now in our nation. It is surprising that Breitbart wrote a very sympathetic article about my retirement: Breitbart: Fauci ends 50 years in government marked by response to AIDS, COVID-19 PRESS: PBS podcast with Walter IsaacsonDr. Anthony Fauci has been at the helm of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since the 1980s, guiding the United States through AIDS, SARS, H1N1, and of course COVID-19. Prior to his retirement, Dr. Fauci joins Walter Isaacson to reflect on a storied career. https://www.pbs.org/video/dr-fauci-his-retirement-universal-covid-19- vaccine-3cvqjq/ ; Extensive exit interview at my home with Jen Ashton of ABC and Eric Strauss;
