Global - 14,800,000/612,000; USA – 3,950,000/143,000 Uneventful day with usual NIH meetings. Did not go down to White House. Getting nervous about throwing out the first ball at Nats stadium tonight in the Opening Day ceremony of Nats versus Yankees game. Amazing night at NATS Stradium where I threw out the first pitch to open the 2020 Baseball season with Nats – NY Yankees game. Unfortunately, I threw a “bouncer” to the right of the plate. I felt really badly but the overwhelming public reaction to it was sympathetic and positive. Mark Lerner (owner of Nats) had me sign dozens of baseballs to be given out to people and one that will go into the Baseball Hall of Fame together with 2 Louisville Slugger bats. I signed a Nats Jersey that will hang on the wall in Nats stadium next to a similar shirt signed by President Obama. Game got rained out in the 6th inning and we went home. Yankees were leading 4-1.
