I had written an email to Robert Davis the CEO of Merck indicating to him that I was
concerned that in the press release for their drug Molnupiravir they did not mention that the
original basic research was funded by NIH at Emory. Rob called me today (Saturday) and
apologized for that slight and promised that in future press releases they would include the
collaboration and contribution of NIAID /NIH.
