Global – 192,000,000/4,100,000; USA – 34,000,000/608,000 Daily cases continue to climb: Had my usual weekly meeting with the POTUS today at 1:00 PM in the Oval Office. Also present: Jeff Z., Natalie Quillian, Mike Donilon, Jake Sullivan (NSC). When I walked into the Oval the POTUS put his hands on my shoulder, brought me close and said: “You did a great job in stuffing that horse’s ass” referring to Rand Paul. He also said that 1st Lady Jill was “cheering for me” as she watched it on TV. As I walked through the White House, several people thanked me for “my service and for what I do” and a few remarked about Paul and said how proud they were of me. Briefed the Senate and House by Zoom together with Jeff, Natalie, and Marcella Ninez-Smith England surging with USA following: Steve Scalese is now promoting vaccines.
