A couple of interesting things today. Did the governor's call or I spoke about the possible need
for boosters. In addition I had an interesting podcast with Chelsea Clinton . She is really a very
nice person, much sweeter than I anticipated. Also had our usual weekly meeting with secretary
Becerra. Also, we had an important meeting with the deputies in the SCIF to discuss the broad
plans for the government’s response to COVID-19 including sharing vaccines with other nations.

   •   I am absolutely furious today because the print version people of the National
       Geographic film group has published the list of my statements and words of wisdom in a
       book which they are claiming was written by me. It is listed in Amazon and Borders
       Books as a book “by” Anthony Fauci. This has triggered the usual frenzy from the far
       right crazies on social media saying that I am a hypocrite making a lot of money on the
       pandemic. Many of ask how much royalties I am making from the book. I have gone
       ballistic big demanding of the Nat Geo people that they correct this publicly and make it
       very clear that I did not write this book nor am I getting any royalties from it. When I
       allowed them to use my words from former speeches and commencement addresses, I
       assumed that they were going to use this merely as promotional material for the
       documentary. The fact that they made this into a book that they are selling in my mind
       isn't egregious violation of trust and collegiality. I am not going to cooperate at all in the
       promoting of this film.
   •   In a Buzzfeed analysis of emails of mine that were FOIA’d, there is an email from
       me to Morgan Fairchild which clearly demonstrates that in February I was warning

about the possibility of a global pandemic in contrast to what people are accusing
me of, namely, saying that there was no risk to us. This is a very important email:
