Friday 12:30 PM AEDT This just does not make any sense since why would someone want to make an agent that could equally infect your own population. Something is wrong with this report . I will have to follow up on it. In the meantime, senator Rand Paul has introduced an amendment to ban gain of function research in China. In the statement they say that I am a strong advocate of gain of function research, which in fact I am not. I have been very clear that it should only be done on the very special circumstances when the public health need requires it and that it needs to be done on the very restricted conditions. The complete distortion of what I have been saying continues on the part of the radical right.
