I remain close to Deb Birx and she still communicates with me about he observations of how
things are going. Below is an e-mail she sent me this morning:

Testing rates continue to drop reaching under July levels
despite substantial increase in number of test and testing
supplies available. "Surveillance testing" or testing for this
silent spread is so critical. The original rising test positivity in
18-24 is now 25-44 and rising. This is how all the prior surges
occurred - due to vaccination level the fatalities maybe be less
and the risk to the health system maybe less but the potential
for significant increases in morbidity and long term impact of
COVID 19 will be most evident in these age groups. Simply
repeating the same public health messages without tailoring to
specific age groups on specific media platforms where the
message will be heard will not have the impact we need at this

Trump furious and being inarticulate in responding to our appearance on CNN Special. He is
still talking about my errant pitch on opening day last year. He is rambling on. Meadows and
Navarro are attacking me on FOX News. Navarro calling me a pathologic liar and calling the
virus the “Fauci Virus’. The Trump team is really acting like a bunch of idiots.

   •   Had Zoom meeting with Brazilian Minister of Health Dr. Marcello Queiroga. They
       need help from the USA because they are having a terrible problem and President
       Bolsonaro is very Trump-like and hurting the country with his approach. I offered to
       help by collaborating in research and discussing strategies. They really want vaccine
       from us, but the USA policy is that we will wait until we vaccinate our whole country
       before we give away excess vaccines. Unfortunately, that is all that I could offer them.
       They will get plenty of vaccine from Pfizer, AZ and J & J in late May and early June.
       After the zoom meeting, I received a note from one of their scientists – Dr. Jorge Kalil.
       He asked me to please help them and hang in their with them sine Bolonsaro in terrible
       and the Brazilian scientific community and Brazilian people hold me in high regard and
       they need me to stick up for them

    •    Had Zoom meeting with Marshawn Lynch former running back for the Seattle
         Seahawks. Really interesting. A lot of street talk. It was actually a “PSA” for
         vaccinating African Americans

    •    Had Zoom with D.L. Hughley – famous entertainer - another interesting chat on his
         show about African Americans and CVID vaccinations

    •    WHO Report is out saying that it is “very unlikely” that the virus originated from a lab
         accident. There is concern that the Chinese had a lot of influence over what data the
         WHO group had access to
