Daily cases going down but deaths still lagging at around 3000 per day

Mutants continue to evolve with the 484K mutation characteristics of the B.1.351 lineage in RSA
now being seen in the UK with the B.1.1.7 lineage. Goes along with what I have been saying
that viruses will mutate if you give them free rein to replicate. Viruses that do not replicate will
not mutate.
Bill DiBlasio called me back and I explained to him that I had spoken to David Kessler about the
Supply-demand issue with the vaccines and that there really was no solution. It is too late to
invoke the DPA to have other factories make mRNA vaccine. By the time they gear up, there
will be enough vaccine from multiple companies to vaccinate the entire country.

and Walensky and Nunez-Smith on video screen. Discussed the status of the outbreak
(Walensky) and vaccines, particularly recent data on J & J and implications for variants (Fauci)
