Had usual MWF Press conference by Zoom
Had discussion with the team (+John Mascola) about how best to utilize the J & J product
(Ad26). There will be a messaging issue about 72% versus 94-95%. We cannot designate it for
any specific group for that reason and so we decided to just out it in the mix with the other
vaccines and have people make their choice based mostly on 1 dose vs 2 doses.
Got call tonight from Mayor Bill Di Blasio very concerned that the supply of vaccine for NYC is
no where near meeting demand. He is begging me to check with WH and see if anything can
be done – DPA or some other mechanism. I will speak with David Kessler about this.

Dear Dr. Fauci,

We keenly await confirmation that you will accept the 2021 Dan David Prize.

In the meantime, we write to you with some urgent requests regarding the announcement of the 2021 Dan
David Prize laureates, scheduled for Monday February 15 at 1800 (Israel-time); in parallel we plan to notify the
international and Israeli media that you are among those honored.

Should we be in touch directly with someone else regarding these requests?

We ask that within 2 days, you send us the following:

   1) A high resolution photo (at least 1 MB in size; it will be blown up and printed in a large format so the
      quality of the photo is key). If you can send more than one option, that would be best. Please indicate if
      the photo requires a credit.

   2) A short bio in layman’s terms.

   3) A short paragraph about your work and significant achievements, in laymen’s terms.

   4) A quote from you of up to two paragraphs in length, which includes a statement of reaction to your
      selection.

       Alternatively

       We would be happy to telephone you for a brief conversation to ask you a couple of questions, including
       about your reaction to being selected. If you prefer this, please send us your telephone number and a
       time you can be reached over the next few days.

   5) Additionally we ask you to provide us with the name and contact information of a professional at your
      institution who can assist us with PR matters.

I will also mention that your photograph is the most urgent item on this list for us.
