Went on rounds today with a patient with COVID-19 in the SCSU. When I
entered the SCSU nurses’ station, the group of 5 nurses screamed in delight that I
had visited and we took a whole bunch of picture. Brett Rowland (security) was
the photographer.

White House still claiming that everything is under control and that all that matters
is deaths. That is absurd. Deaths are in fact increasing; however, they are
completely disregarding the morbidity associated with getting infected and not
dying, which could be protracted.

Here’s A Timeline Of President Donald Trump’s And Dr. Anthony Fauci’s
Relationship.
USA Today (10/28, Behrmann, Santucci, 10.31M) reports, “The relationship between President
Donald Trump and Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious disease expert, has
publicly eroded as the coronavirus pandemic has raged through the United States, with the two
officials often disagreeing on issues from what drugs to use and a vaccine timeline to something
as simple as the fact that COVID-19 isn’t ‘going to disappear.’” According to the article, “over the
course of the virus’ spread, Trump’s relationship with Fauci, who has worked under both
Democratic and Republican administrations since 1984, has vacillated from support to disdain.”
