Also, some time in the next week or so, we should catch up on a few things. Best, Tony From: Fauci, Anthony (NIH/NIAID) [E] Sent: Sunday, October 14, 2018 4:03 PM To: 'Barton Haynes, M.D.' < @duke.edu> Cc: Conrad, Patricia (NIH/NIAID) [E] < @niaid.nih.gov> Subject: RE: Confirmation of your nomination for The Shaw Prize in Life Science and Medicine 2019 Thanks, Bart. When you find out from them exactly what material we need for the nomination, please let me know and I will provide it. This is a good one I think for you. The category would be for “The Human Condition” . Paul Farmer has gotten this in the past. We can use the PEPFAR piece in addition to the science and NIAID leadership issue. We obviously will take care of all of that on my end. The only minor glitch is that in order to nominate me you need to write to them, send your CV and indicate that you want to serve as a nominator. They do this because they do not want just anyone nominating anyone. If you do not mind, could you write to them with your CV and indicate that you would like to be a nominator (see below for explanation). I got this from their website. Let me know what you think. Many thanks. That was last year. And so we will hold off on this until medicine/science returns as a theme. Thanks anyway.
