Attended meeting in Situation Room of the White House chaired by
Richard Falkenrath. Attending were Deputies of all of the relevant agencies, Carol Kuntz,
Ken Bernard, Jorge Tavel, Bob Kadlac etc. Purpose was to agree upon a long range Plan
for SARS called CONPLAN. Also, discussed revamping the organizational structure
among the various Agencies for a coherent Biodefense Agenda.
        Appeared on CNBC’s Capitol Report with Alan Murray and Gloria Borger to
discuss the President Bushes Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. I had the opportunity to
praise the POTUS for his leadership in this Plan.
