I was asked to prepare talking points on AIDS for Secretary. Thompson for his upcoming plane trip with Pres, Bush to (?). I did so. Thompson’s staff was so impressed with the talking points that they mentioned that Thompson wanted me to accompany his staff to the White House the next day to develop a white paper for Powel and Thompson to use in upcoming meeting with the POTUS.
